One of my favorite, and perhaps most used, items of gear is the Mountain Hardwear Wicked Lite Short Sleeve Tee. It is my go-to shirt for outdoor adventures. The title does not lie, it is the lightest synthetic tee that I have owned. Being lightweight does not mean that there is a sacrifice of quality materials for this product. Despite having worn this shirt dozens of times it hasn't shown any sign of wear or deterioration. On hot days it wicks away moisture perfectly, and when it is cool out I often wear it underneath multiple layers. The seams are very flat and are hardly noticeable when wearing it. One part of this tee that makes it stand out from the rest is that it has natural chitosan which is an anti-microbial treatment. Bottom line is that this tee isn't going to hold odors. Personally having worn this item on multi-day trips, it is definitely you that is going to smell and not the shirt. This tee does have a slightly tapered fit, so be aware of that when choosing a size. For $35.00 you are getting a product that you are going to use and that is going to last. Both Men's and Women's styles come in quite the array of colors! Also, Mountain Hardwear makes a long-sleeved version in both Men's and Women's styles that looks similar, but I have not personally tried it out.

I do have to say that after a year of use (daily, weekend, multi-day) that the shirt does retain odors... it's not as bad as some of my shirts (or other synthetic items for that matter) but it definitely does hold a bit of smell. From what I know of the anti-microbial system the industry has been using for years is that it can be washed away with use and time (which is why they sell washes specifically for these types of clothing) and it's effective ability is said to be limited to a deteriorating "half-life" like scenario. As far as the sizing goes I suggest erring towards the larger side of your fit, I ordered a small (which sometimes fits me) and I definitely needed a medium. II do have to end by saying that I absolutely love this shirt, it's become a grab and go item for any scenario!
Thanks Mikey D! You going to be in Minneapolis again this year for the summit?
