The Flash 18 pack by REI is a wonderful little pack for any person who loves the outdoors. It is so easy to just throw in what you need and go! The pack is compatible with a water reservoir which makes sense since there are not any pockets for water bottles. It is outfitted with 140-denier ripstop nylon which means you don't have to worry about beating it up. If you can't fit everything inside the pack, there is a daisy chain that you can clip your gear to on the outside. The Flash 18 has some great new features this year. There is now a small, interior zippered pocket that works great for keeping your essentials secure. Also included is a back panel pad that can be removed and then used as a pad in camp or for a break on the trail. You can also customize the pack by removing the sternum or hip straps if you prefer.
