Rock climbing in the Bay Area is awesome, There's so many locations around both indoors and outdoors. Hiking up at Point Reyes is also nice.

Anything along the coast, north or south, is typically spectacular. I live in the East Bay so it's a bit of a hike, but well worth it.

No better place than Point Reyes! Hiking right above the ocean...breathtaking.
