Laker Rink Field Trip

After a month of hard work, follow through, and dedication, our City Surfers earned a field trip to Lasker Rink (http://www.laskerrink.com/) in Central Park. The conditions were perfect. The sun was out, it was 45 degrees, and everyone was ready! Concrete Safaris City Surfers- Biking Randalls Island

The season is changing and so are we! Day by day we make sure to get our homework done, learn about healthy foods and snacks, and get our exercise in. Our first large group bike trip was to Randalls Island Playground, a 4-mile round trip trek. It’s always amazing to see how fast and efficient our students can get their homework done outside in the fresh air, especially if some of their peers are already playing! The Quest For a New Route- CS City Surfers

Finding new biking terrain in the concrete jungle can be tough, especially when our daylight is getting shorter by the day.

We always keep track of our progress and push ourselves everyday. We try and figure out our strengths and weaknesses before every ride-- It helps us become safer and more aware on our bikes.
