Reflecting on Experiences
Entering this world on the rucksacks of my mother and father, watching closely as the endless trees and mountains of California passed me by, my love for nature and the environment became an integral part of my life. This love for the outdoors led to many days as a young girl immersed in my imagination, adventuring through forests and hiking trails. It was through my experiences as a child that created my desire to seek out new adventures and perspectives. My vision for the future is to be a teacher and a guide to younger generations and to be capable of passing on the knowledge of the outdoors and the necessity for a sustainable future. I also would like to focus on giving opportunities to underprivileged children who are not capable of experiencing the outdoors on their own. I want to work meaningfully in this field as a result of the further training and education that I will receive by pursuing a Masters of Outdoor Education at the University of Edinburgh. Everything I have done and experienced in life so far leads to this destination.
