The result:

*thirteen bags filled with cans, beer bottles, diapers, wrappers, lost shoes, bullet shells and everything else you can imagine

*four tires

*a flatscreen t.v.

*and our favorite, a microwave.

Tentless and Content

Since the weather has been so nice and Springy today and yesterday (more like just yesterday with clouds rolling in as I type) I pulled out my new Grand Trunk Hammock and Travel Pillow that I have been dying to use all Winter. Despite there only being two little bushy willow trees in the backyard, I was… Continue

Stranded in Park City

Posted on March 15, 2011 at 1:00am 1 Comment

On the 16th (February) I had a bit of a snowy adventure. Just a bit. I kind of got stuck in Park City during a snowstorm after a book signing and presentation by one of the first women to cross Antarctica... yeah, very appropriate timing for the two.

Okay, I knew it was supposed to start snowing about the… Continue

Snow Day

I think it is safe to say that the claim of "the greatest snow on Earth" definitely merits the greatest play on Earth. Winter in Utah is heaven ...or can be if you only try. Aside from the chill of wet socks and frosty car windows, it's a shining season of recreation for the… Continue

Hi Maren,

As a member of Outdoor Nation, I'm doing my part in reminding my community of the importance of being in nature. Although I have achieved a small amount of success, I need your help.
I have a live project on Kickstarter.com and I'd like to invite you to join me in making a difference. Please check out my project page.

One way you can help is by donating a dollar and click the Facebook "Like" button under the video.
The biggest way you can help; contact me, let me know if you'd like to join me on any sections of the project. Share the project with everyone you know and help get involved. I'm looking for a strong support group and extreme hikers to take part in this adventure.
I have been featured on my largest local News Radio/TV show for the project, I have pending sponsorships and am looking for more. I have more media coverage interested in supporting this project.

Please join me, help as much as you can, and spread the word. Together, we can remind all Americans that preserving our home land is far more important than futile politics overseas. WE ARE AMERICANS, LET'S FIGHT FOR AMERICA!

Thank you!

Hey Maren!
How is life? What are you up to?
I'm loving life and enjoying Sugar Pine. We have been hit by a little more intense winter so are cleaning up as best we can as the snow melts. Thankfully we still have campers coming up every weekend and having fun outside!
Hope all is well :)

I'm thinking the 23rd works better for the clean up. Simply because while you're doing the tree planting, I'll also be doing a tree planting project at eagle bay park! You can thank me later. Jeff is going to make a facebook event for it so hopefully we'll get some more people with that. There are four of us so far, so spread the word! What's this project you want help with? I've got a kite for the flying you mentioned...
