Hi Outsiders!

I'm Matt Liparulo, a local resident of Colorado Springs. Due to our geography, I have spent a lot of my time taking pictures up and down the front range of the Rocky Mountains. I will be embarking on a 7,000 mile hike as a thru-hiker on the Appalachian Trail, as well as the Pacific Crest and Continental Divide Trails. I will be photographing each day of the journey and put together a photography book upon completion. There are many books out there on these three trails, but an up-to-date photo journal book based on the land of our heritage in every Americans' backyard is over-looked. I believe my journey will be an inspiration to many Americans.

I'd like to make my travels public and stir up communities with excitement. I feel this is the time to get everyone involved in acknowledging our trails, wildlife, and nature here at home. It's about our roots and where we live, not the politics of the world.

I also am looking to spend a lot of the time traveling with others.
